Liverpool supporters are in for a treat this week as the club unveils a striking retro third kit that places the Reds firmly alongside giants such as Manchester United and Real Madrid in the fashion stakes.
Following a thrilling late triumph against Newcastle, the club is poised to introduce a ‘sea green’ kit, boasting a nod to the past with a vintage-style Liverpool badge and the iconic Trefoil logo, reminiscent of Liverpool’s 1980s glory days. Accompanying the kit will be white shorts and green socks, complementing the red home and white away kits for the 2025/26 campaign.
The kit, echoing the design of the 1991/92 away strip, is slated for release imminently. Fans can choose from an adult’s short-sleeve version priced at £85, a ‘stadium’ option at £120, long-sleeve versions starting at £90, and children’s kits from £60.
Adidas, in collaboration with Liverpool, is orchestrating a grand launch as part of its £60m-per-annum partnership with the club. Now recognised as an ‘Elite’ level club, Liverpool fans will enjoy a broader selection of apparel including long-sleeve shirts and training gear.
A notable highlight of this launch is Liverpool’s inaugural ‘Terrace Icons’ collection. This streetwear line features t-shirts, tracksuits, and jackets in ‘sea green’, white, and black hues. The Terrace Icons collection is typically reserved for football’s elite, mirroring recent releases for Real Madrid and Manchester United. Liverpool supporters have awaited this launch due to the Adidas kit deal commencing on 1 August, following the conclusion of the club’s previous Nike agreement.
The launches of the home and away shirts have proven tremendously popular, with the Liverpool online store experiencing such high demand that a queuing system was necessary to handle the influx of eager fans.
