Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly snubbed interest from Tottenham Hotspur in favour of a summer return to Juventus. The Paris Saint-Germain forward, who impressed during a loan spell at the Serie A club in the latter half of last season by netting 10 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions, seems set on rejoining the Italian side.
Following Son Heung-min’s confirmation of his departure from Spurs, Kolo Muani had surfaced as a potential successor, having caught the eye with his performances for Juve. The Times reported that Thomas Frank’s Spurs were keen on acquiring the services of the PSG forward, whose contract at the Parc des Princes has three years remaining. Nevertheless, Tuttosport has revealed that the 26-year-old has declined advances from both Tottenham and Manchester United as he pushes for a move back to Turin before the summer transfer window slams shut.
Having slipped down the pecking order at PSG, Juventus have mooted a loan arrangement valued at up to £13 million with an option to purchase the forward for a sum of £26 million. It is believed that Kolo Muani’s representatives have used Spurs and United’s alleged interest to expedite negotiations with the Italian side.
Kolo Muani, capable of operating across various forward positions, would have bolstered Tottenham’s attacking line-up ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. Son’s exit has heightened Spurs’ urgency to strengthen their offensive options.
