Fulham have pulled off a cheeky London heist nicking Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb for a tasty £27million.
The Norway flyer, 22, has penned a whopping five-and-a-half-year deal at Craven Cottage and will strut his stuff in the No14 shirt as Marco Silva’s Euro-chasing Whites mean business.
And Bobb couldn’t wait to spill the beans on how a little Scandinavian sweet-talk sealed the move.
“It feels great to be here I’m buzzing,” he grinned. “I spoke to Sander [Berge], my good mate, and the gaffer explained everything about the system, the lads, the club. He seemed lovely easy decision.”
City academy golden boy Bobb clocked up 47 appearances under Pep Guardiola, chipping in with three goals and four assists but has slipped down the pecking order since Antoine Semenyo rocked up in January.
Pep all but waved him off after the Wolves win, admitting: “I think he wants to leave.”
Ouch.
Despite interest from Borussia Dortmund, it’s Fulham who’ve won the race — though City have kept their claws in with a 20% sell-on clause and first dibs if bids roll in down the line.
Bobb’s season never really took off after a nasty knock against Brentford in December, and he’s managed 15 appearances without a goal.
But Silva’s flying Whites now seventh after brushing Brighton aside are banking on Bobb to bring spark, pace and a bit of Premier League stardust to west London.
And with Norway already World Cup-bound and Berge waiting in the dressing room, Bobb’s Cottage reunion is ready to kick off.
