I for one also feel that way about Spain (as tough as it may be to admit), although there are several curses you did not mention. Example... Euro 2004 we played like dung... so no excuse. But Korea Japan 2006, was a great occasion to finally get through the quarter finals, and every single person who isn't Korean admits that game was absurdly influenced. England have ready-made excuses for any eventual loss in Rooney being 1/2 ready, Walcott just coming out of kindergarten and "it was all Sven's fault".
